Meet Tommy Martin

Tommy's Story

Growing up in small town Missouri, Dr. Tommy Martin was taught the meaning of hard work as he witnessed his parents, neither of which graduated high school, climb out of poverty and build a successful business. Grit, perseverance, work ethic, and resilience are things his parents taught him that ultimately gave him the tools needed to pursue his dream of becoming a doctor. Dr. Tommy Martin found himself in Salina, Kansas to pursue his premedical degree while playing football. After a quick three years he graduated with a B.S. in Biomedical Chemistry and then ventured to the Caribbean to start his medical school journey.

While in medical school, he met his wife, did multitude of philanthropy projects, and served a month in Kenya working at Bomet, Hospital. Graduating 2018, Dr. Tommy and Phoebe Martin couples matched into residency in Arkansas.



During his residency, Dr. Tommy Martin was inspired to document his lifestyle, journey in medicine, and share his medical knowledge with the internet. Over the three years, he reached 100s of millions of views, over 2.5 million followers across varying platforms, and became a reliable source of medical information on the internet! This led to incredible opportunities as he was the Keynote speaker for the WHO and an ambassador for the National Infectious Disease Association in stopping the spread of misinformation through the COVID Pandemic.

After finishing residency, Dr. Tommy Martin found himself in Massachusetts near to his wife’s family. He is currently practicing as a full time combine internal medicine and pediatric hospitalist while continuing to educate on social media.
